I think the cool guy move is in discovering what you need to do in order to forgive people for falling for his bullshit - despite teh fact that they do not deserve it, won't ask for it, & will feel insulted if they find out you did.
That's the challenge right now, because I don't know how any of us are going to live our livves in a way where Autocratic Despair doesn't destroy them.
